Which makes me think, perhaps we should talk about Burgundy wines at some point. I’ve written a bit already about Bordeaux, but Burgundy has been left relatively untouched. It’s an incredibly confusing region; probably the most confusing in the world. I have yet to become comfortable with it, and probably never will be!
For today though, here’s an each lesson. White burgundy = chardonnay. Red burgundy = pinot noir. Always. It’s not a law, but that’s all they do there. If you ever see Montrachet, read: chardonnay. Really good chardonnay.
