Soldera is a famous brunello di montalcino wine from Italy, running about $250-300 per bottle. The winery awoke this past Monday morning to find their entire supply of the past six vintages was detroyed. People snuck and drained every tank, letting the wine pour down the drain. Gone. The winery posted a press release to their website. Very sad. It also makes me wonder what the security systems are on wineries. Could make for a very interesting article.
On far ridiculous circumstances (it seems thus far anyway), a Bordeaux chateau was completely demolished…by mistake. It seems there were orders to demolish a portion of the chateau for renovation work, but the entire building was brought down. Fun court dates ahead.
